Munnar

Munnar town is located in Kerala southwest of India. The town also referred to as “Kashmir of South India” and is situated in the Western Ghats. There are so many places to visit in Munnar like Eravikulam National Park, Anamudi Peak, Mattupetty, Paalivasal, etc. Mattupetty is popular for its Indo-Swiss dairy farm. This farm is taking good care of different types of cattle. Just a few distances from the farm you can experience Mattupetty Lake and dam, which are also famous. Kundala Lake another famous tourist spot that is not far from Mattupatty Lake. Mattancherry Palace is also known as Dutch Palace located in Mattancherry. The palace is now becoming a museum that holds different artifacts used by the Kings. Paradesi Synagogue is one of the oldest active synagogues located in Kerala.  The Synagogue is almost 1500 years old and worth to visit. Munnar sightseeing is included in our Kerala travel packages.

Eravikulam National Park

Eravikulam National Park is located in the Western Ghats of Idukki District. Lakkom waterfalls can see here. The park is divided into three regions like core area, buffer area, and tourism area. Core and buffer areas are not accessible to the public but the tourism area or Rajmalai Forest can be accessed by the tourist. This place holds Nilgiri Tahr or goat-like endangered species. Neelakurinji flower which blooms every 12 years can be seen here. Anamudi Peak and Lakkom waterfalls are famous places to visit. This National Park is included in our Kerala tour package itinerary.

Anamudi Peak

Anamudi peak is the highest peak of the Western Ghats and South India. It is located between Ernakulam District and Idukki District. It hosts a large collection of the Indian elephant, Nilgiri Tahrs, and Gaurs and rare Neelakuringi flowers.

Echo Point

Echo point is another place you can visit in Kochi. Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala ranges can be seen from here. The place is located on the banks of Kundala Lake. The echo point is a paradise for adventurous people. The place is hosts of various types of migrated birds.

Attukal Waterfalls

Attukal waterfalls located 9 kilometers away from Munnar Town and the best tourist attraction in Kerala. The place is ideal for trekking and hiking. You can go to the Attukal Waterfalls through a narrow wooden bridge.

Periyar National Park

Periyar National Park is notable for its elephant and tiger reserve. The park s located on the banks of Periyar Lake. If you enter deep into the forest you will able to different species of animals like the Bengal tiger, gaur, sambar, giant squirrel, etc. Birds like the Nilgiri wood pigeon, Nilgiri flycatcher presently live in this sanctuary.

Alapuzha

Alappuzha, formerly known as Alleppey, is an important tourist destination in Kerala. It is famous for its boat races, marine products, and coir industry. There is a lighthouse that lures visitors. Another famous thing you can experience is the Houseboat cruise. You can spend time in the houseboat and enjoy the beauty of Blackwater. You can also visit the Alapuzha sea beach which holds the Alapuzha beach festival every year.

Day 1
Day 1

On arrival at Cochin Airport / Railway station and transfer to Hotel. Check-in at Hotel and overnight stay.

Day 2
Day 2

After breakfast proceeds for Munnar, en route visit Fort Cochi, Mattancherry Palace, Paradesi Synagogue, etc. Check-in at Hotel and overnight stay.

Day 3
Day 3

After breakfast, full-day excursion with local sightseeing- Mattupetty Dam, Rajamalai Forest, Eco Point, Attukal Waterfalls, Pallivasal Falls, and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we will check out from the Hotel and proceed to Thekkady. On the way, we will visit the Spice Garden. Check-in at Hotel and overnight stay. You may enjoy with Cultural Show (Folk Song and Dance- Kathakali)

Early morning (around 5 a.m.) proceed to Periyar Forest by boat (Direct payment basis) and after visit back to the hotel. After lunch, checkout from the Hotel and proceed to Alappuzha (Distance 170 KM). Check-in at Hotel and overnight stay. After that, we will visit the Allapuzha Sea Beach. Overnight stay at Allapuzha.

After breakfast, proceed to Ferry Ghat and board on the boat. Enjoy a memorable ride of Back Water. Watch Paddy Field, Village Life, Lakes, Narrow Canals, Manmade Island, (Its spread over 900 SQ. KM.).After lunch, we will visit Marari Beach and overnight stay at Allapuzha.

Day 7

Depart from Alleppey to reach the Airport/ Railway station at Cochin for Your onward journey. Discover Kerala gives you an altogether different picture of the state that was still unfolded.
