Jaipur
Jaipur is the capital city of Rajasthan, also known as the “Pink City of India”. It is the largest state of Rajasthan. So many places you can visit in Jaipur like Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, Amer Fort, etc. Hawa Mahal is the recognized landmark in Jaipur. The palace built from red and pink sandstone. Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh built this structure in 1799. Hawa Mahal is built in the shape of a crown and it resembles Lord Krishna’s crown. The meaning of the Hawa Mahal means “Palace of Winds” or “Wind Palace”. It was a famous place for the Rajput family during the old times. The Palace also looks like a beehive. Bikaner
Bikaner is located in the northern part of Rajasthan. The city encompasses the Thar Desert. The city still showcases its ancient affluence through palaces and forts. The city has one of the biggest camel breeding and research farms. You can also experience riding a camel in Bikaner. One of the famous places of Bikaner is Junagarh Fort. The fort was built in the 16th century and one of the best historical architecture constructed by the Princes of Rajasthan. Formerly the fort was known as Chintamani. Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer popularly called “Golden City” is a famous destination in Rajasthan. The town is located in the middle of the desert. The fort was built in 1156 AD by the ruler Rao Jaiswal. You can find a number of Havelis in Jaisalmer. All these Havelis are made of yellow sandstone. Some of the famous Havelis are Patwon Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli, Natmalji Ki Haveli, etc.
Jodhpur
Jodhpur is the second largest state of Rajasthan and the gateway to the Thar Desert. Mehrangarh or Mehran Fort is one of the most visited places in Jodhpur. It is one of the largest forts in the country. It is located at the top of 410 elevated hills and guided by massive walls. The fort was seven gates. Each of these gates has a different purpose. Another beautiful place o visit to Jodhpur is Jaswant Thada. Jaswant Thada is a 19th-century royal monument located to the left of the Mehrangarh Fort complex. Udaipur
Udaipur is the crown jewel of the state of Rajasthan and also known as the city of lakes. This lovely city is surrounded by Aravalli Hills. Ranakpur Jain Temple is the most visited tourist place near Jodhpur. Ranakpur Jain Temple is the biggest and most important Jain Temple in India. The temple is built by Jain businessman Dharma Shah in the 15th century. The temple was built in honor of Adinath, the founder of the Jain religion. The temple has 24 pillared halls, 80 domes which are supported by 400 columns. The temple has 29 halls and 1444 pillars which are artistically carved. You can see the dancing goddess beautifully engraved on these pillars. The main feature of these pillars is that no two pillars resemble each other.
