On arrival at Kochi airport, check out from the exit gate, be received by the car and get transferred to the hotel. afternoon local tour to fort kochi area. visit Mattancherry, Chinese fishing harbor, st Francis church, Santa Cruz basilica, etc. (someplace needs walk)

DAY 2 - COCHIN TO KUMARAKOM
DAY 2 - COCHIN TO KUMARAKOM

Morning check out from the resort and get transferred to Kumarakom. check-in at the Kumarakom houseboat. leisure at night. kumarakom is a village on Vembanad Lake in the backwaters of Kerala, southern India. it’s laced with canals, where houseboats ply the waters. kumarakom is famous for its bird sanctuary which is home to many species including cuckoos and Siberian storks.

Check out at 0900hr and transfer to Kumarakom jetty. visit the Kumarakom bird sanctuary. later drive to Kottayam town to visit the st. mary church and Thirunakkara Mahadeva temple. later drop to a serene resort. leisure at night

DAY 4 - KUMARAKOM – KOVALAM
DAY 4 - KUMARAKOM – KOVALAM

Check out and transfer to Kovalam. on the way visit to Varkala. visit Papanasham beach and Janardanswami temple. arrive Kovalam and leisure around the Kovalam beach. varkala is on the way to Kovalam, famous for its red cliffs and serene beach. just south, Papanasham beach is believed to have holy waters. on a nearby hill, the ancient Janardanswami temple is a Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Vishnu.

Early morning drive to Poovar (a backwater destination 16 km from Kovalam). visit the beach area; one can have a boat ride in backwater canal (direct on spot) later back to Kovalam hotel. visit Trivandrum city. visit Padamanaswami temple, Napier museum, padmanavapuram palace etc (as per time permits) about 16km southeast of Kovalam, almost at the Tamil Nadu border, Poovar is the gateway to a region of beaches, estuaries, villages and upmarket resorts that comprise the 'mini backwaters' of Kerala's far south

DAY 6 - KOVALAM – TRIVANDRUM AIRPORT DROP

Check out and transfer to Trivandrum airport for departure.
