South Khayerbari is the rehabilitation center of Royal Bengal Tiger and Leopard. This is also a place of wildlife study center in North Bengal. Chilapata Forest
Chilapata Forest is a part of Jaldapara Forest Station and the two forests are divided by the Torsha River. Jaldapara is located on the east of Torsha River, while Chilapata is on the west. Chilapata Forest is a treasure of Dooars. It has wildlife sanctuaries. The forest is a home to leopards, deers, hog, snakes, different types of butterflies, etc. A black panther was spotted back in January 2020. The forest is filled with reptiles like krait, cobra, python, and water turtles.
Jhalong Hill
